Daily Report 06

Hello guys...
Welcome back in Dewi's kitchen. This time we are making birthday cake for my lecturer and once again I'm grouped together with http://incessssss.blogspot.co.id/ .Today my group didn't make toast bread and french bread like the other group.



Instead it we made this cake today. It's made from Madeleine sponge, buttercream and using coffee cream as frosting.

And here the recipe for making this cake.

Madeleine sponge

Egg                             5 pcs
Sugar                      300 g
Salad Oil                250 ml
Allpurpose Flour   250 g
Baking Powder         7 g

How to Make :

  1. Mix egg and sugar until stiff.
  2. Pour Oil into beaten egg, mix until well blended
  3. Mix together baking powder and flour. Add into mixture and mix until well blended.
  4. Rest in chiller batter about min 1 hour for best result rest it 1 night and bake it at 180oC about 30 minutes.

Buttercream

Egg White               2 pcs
Sugar                   100 g
Butter Soft           150 g

How to Make :
  1. Heat sugar until reach 121oC and pour into beaten egg white. Mix until stiff.
  2. After stiff add butter and mix until well blended. After a while you will see the mixture become fragmented, but don't worry it's okay. Just mix until the mixture merges and done.

Coffee Cream

Whipped Cream           400 g
Expresso coffee              70 ml
Gelatine Powder             10 g

How to Make :

  1. Beat cream until stiff and set a side.
  2. Heat espresso coffee and add gelatine. if you don't have espresso you can use coffee instant instead.
  3. Mix together coffee and cream until well blended.
