Chinese Table D'Hote in Extra Week Part 2

Hello everyone...


Today was the last day of extra week before "Final Exam" !!



Today I only making Waffle for our ice cream. I even brought my waffle pan to campus for our ice cream sake. hahaha, so dramatic.



And this is our tape with coconut ice cream on the top




And here the recipe for Tape :


Black Glutinous Rice     700 gr
White Glutinous Rice    300 gr
Katuk Leaves                     1 bunch
Water                                  400 ml
Sugar                                  1 tbsp
Yeast for tape                     1 pcs


How to Make :


  1. Clean the glutinous rice seven times.  And soak rice two hours before steamed.
  2. Steamed until completely cooked. 
  3. Meanwhile, Boil Katuk leaves with water and strained.
  4. After rice cooked, move into container and pour the katuk liquid into the rice and mix it well.
  5. Cool down until completely cold.
  6. Crush the Yeast using spoon until fine and mix it with sugar. Add into rice and mix it well.
  7. While rounding the tape if your hands sticky you can used the leftover katuk liquid as finger bowl, but don't used too much.
  8. And stack in your container and every layer give the banana leaf. Give the banana leaf on the top too.
  9. Close the lid and don't open it within three days !!!
  10. Maximum four days in room temperature. After that put it in Chiller.

The more clean your rice the more tasty you've got !!



Steamed it until completely cooked ! if you wanted the smooth texture.



Cooling it down until completely cold. If you added the yeast while still hot, you'll see moldy "bulukan" in your tape !! Trust me !!
